My name is HUANG, ZI-LUN, and I am a graduate of the first cohort of the Bachelor of Senior Wellness and Sports Science program at Tunghai University. From the name of our program, it's clear that we focus on dual specializations. In this era of health and wellness, the issue of aging is inevitable. Not only is sports health and sports science valued by athletes, but it is also gradually being recognized by the general public. In our program, we gain hands-on experience through internships, whether in the field of sports science or senior wellness, applying the knowledge we’ve learned from books into practice. This also helps us develop quick problem-solving skills. These experiences will be invaluable for both academic pursuits and future practical work.

As for me, I chose Tunghai University because I saw the career opportunities in this field. I wanted to enter the long-term care industry to learn more, partly because it interests me, and partly because I want to help change the misconceptions my friends and family have about long-term care. Most importantly, in addition to academic professors, our program also brings in top industry professionals to teach us practical, real-world skills. The classroom atmosphere is relaxed and fun.
